Up until now, I would say that Thai Silk clothes are still worn in limited group of Thais. Probably because the good quality Thai silk one tends to be a lot more expensive than fast fashion clothing, but if you once ever wear real Thai silk, you will understand it worths the price. We got this beautiful tie dyed silk piece from one silk maker whom we have known long ago. Each piece is very l
As I wrote in the title, it has all started from my love of having fancy things on my head.... ok, this sounds a bit strange but it was something like that. Probably when I was younger, my hair was always in mess, so I had to cover it up with something, or I just thought I look prettier with it...haha I tend to love beret than other items just because here in Bangkok is a super warm, and humid city, it is difficult to me to put on hat all day, but beret can be easily fold int
This time Japanese Daruma doll takes the lead role of our design. Taken from the Japanese craft and illustration books, we used applique technique recreating the drawing. Different materials were gathered, also Thai batik fabric, put together to make our unique Daruma doll ornaments. Although we used both Thai traditional fabric combined with Japanese traditional design, we think the outcome is very unique and interesting. How do you think?
The world is small....ok, I'm not so sure who was the first to say that but that is what they say. Even this world is so small, but there are some people who loves to create an even smaller world, one of them is TERRARIUM CRAFTS ; blogger who is a plant artist and also craft worker. Started from 3 years ago when first seeing an image of an old man with a huge terrarium he planted years and years ago, after that she decided to make her own utopia by starting to make terrarium
One day when I was sitting and sewing this beret at a cafe, there was a lady, I would guess she might be old enough to be my mother, came and said to me " This beret is lovely, you do it as your hobby or you sell it too?" , " I do sell it too" I replied. " I think my mom would look good on this beret, you see, my mom she always has to be on bed, not that she would go out anyway, but I believe when all relatives come and visit her, she would look so delighted if she has this b
Every year, it has turned to be our tradition to make a card as a new year present for mom and dad. Up until now we have done several things, so we admit that sometimes we ran out of idea....lol and where would people now go take a look to get ideas!!! yes, we got to Pinterest as well. My sister sent me this photo and said it was cute. We decided to use this reference and adapt it in our own style. As usual I did it by sewing. These pieces of works are only the gifts for our
We are still in the atmosphere of Christmas....at least for me ....is it only me? Anyway, sharing these photos is about the good time. This dress is made from Thai Silk. The using of Japanese Shibori technique makes the silk looks extraordinary. To us, Thai Silk doesn't have to always be so formal, but the glamorous look is one thing you can't take away from it.
A friend of mine asked me to create special presents for her friends which suit their personalities. Ok, what is being more unique than each person's face.
Christmas is just behind the corner and I believe many parties will be happened during a day or two, same as mine. Since a lot of people might be away during the season, the pop up party can't be avoided, and it is urgent! I went through Pinterest, and decided that despite the fact that Thailand has only Summer all year, this year I will dress up as Snowflake. What I need for this costume are very simple, but the most important one is one meter of woolen fabric..... ok and gl
Yesterday was my birthday. As tradition, we usually present our parents flower garlands to pay our respect. Nowadays, flower garlands are sold everywhere. But this time I decided to do my own, as the title written, my name "Sitee" has the meaning of flower garland, so I think it would be nice to experience some traditional thing in my style. #flowers #garland #tradition #Thai #culture #birthday #craft #handmade
Winter is near, why don't we brush up our winter clothes in closet and get them decorated a bit, so we don't feel like wearing same old thing. Mission started from this black knitted coat.🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 I love it.
Today item is easy jacket made from Indigo Japanese cotton. The shades of indigo make my Friday so calm and creative.
Using Thai fabric on works has always been challenging for us. lately, Thai silk and Thai cotton are being used by many Thai designers who want to show their ideas, so the question is how to be different? Being your true self is one big answer, but how to translate that into designs? This lemon yellow hand-weaved cotton from the

Last month I got one assignment from a customer (and a good friend) to design a decoration from demin jacket for one Thai actress who also happen to be my friend named Rodmay ( ok, we are all friends in this world haha). The theme was no theme, so it is all up to me. I know Rodmay likes coo
In Buddhists' ordination ceremony, there is one part of the ceremony that the person who soon becomes monk will have to do coins scattering. Coins scattering in ordination ceremony has a meaning that the person who do it will leave all wealth behind since it is no longer needed in monk status. Nowadays the family will do ribbon decoration cover the coins to make them as souvenirs for those who come to the ceremony. As the time pass by, things ge
I just finished my new work. I felt like doing something feel light and sweet, so I came up with this. Like flowers that fall and float from tree by the cool breeze in Spring....wait, I know it is Autumn now, but in Thailand is all year Summer, so I have a right to imagine. lol Since I use see-through fabric, I use organzas silk for decorating as well, to make more layers. Using little flower laces gives much more delicate look than big one. Finished! Let's celebrate with hot
Any fabric that has similar pattern to this lace which has constant holes, we can create a whole new style of fabric by adding on fabric lines, sewing like cross-stitch. It is freestyle, you can go up and down anyhow you like. Today, I made this.
" It is said that Tsugaru kites, a folkcraft of Aomori Prefecture, were first made in the 17th century by poor low-ranking members of the samurai class. Japanese kites generally have a bamboo frame, but as bamboo is difficult to grow in the Tsugaru district because of the severe cold, lightweight and supple cypress cut into thin strips is used instead. Tsugaru kites feature strong, thick lines in Japanese ink and a picture of a warrior painted in brilliant colors, predominant
